The Moon River Métis Council (MRMC) is proud to announce the offering of three $1000 dollar bursaries to any Moon River Métis citizen registered with the Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) who is attending or entering an accredited post-secondary program in 2016.
The MRMC places a high value on all educational pursuits; with the recognition that those in skilled trades, business, science and technology careers have particularly exciting and immediate job opportunities as the economy shifts now and in the future.
“We must cherish our inheritance. We must preserve our nationality for the youth of our future. The story should be written down to pass on.”
To be considered, the MRMC Bursary Committee asks that you e-mail a 500 word letter describing yourself, your achievements, and goals for the future as they relate to your education.
Along with the letter please attach a scan/clear photo image of your Métis Nation of Ontario Citizenship card and include your name, contact number and home/family address in the Moon River area. Anyone who meets the criteria may apply.
Send to MRMC President Tony Muscat at firstname.lastname@example.org
For questions or more info, call Tony at 705-426-1381
The deadline for receipt is April 15, 2016. Bursaries will be awarded at MRMC’s 2016 Annual General Meeting & Celebration on Saturday, April 30, 2016.
(A family home address in the Moon River catchment, proof of MNO citizenship along with proof of participation in or registration for the post-secondary program absolutely required before the bursary is released.)
